As parents search for ever more original names, HOW FAR IS TOO FAR ? reportedly a new mum recently announced on Facebook she had named her baby hashtag, an apparent tribute to the Twitter trending ‘#’ symbol.

Is it becoming a competition? As Last year Egyptian Couple, Israelis Lior and Vardit Adler called their daughter ‘Like’ after the approval button on Facebook. The parents to Hashtag Jameson soon came under fire with furious tweets from the open public such as “This is horrible and cruel” ironically trending hastags such as #TerribleParenting and #StupidestNameEver . How in 20 years time will these foolish parents explain this little girls name choice to her when twitter and hash tag have been overtaken by the next internet social networking site? And how far will parents go to achieve the most unique name? Is their space in the world for a baby ‘gangnham’ or baby ‘Facebook’?  What Do You Think?
