Breakthrough treatment for Toddler Hope

The family of a toddler Hope are hoping she will see for the first time after a local community managed tp raise money for her to undergo pioneering eye treatment in China.

Two-year-old Brooke Chilton was born with under-developed optic nerves – too tiny to ever let in light.

The rare condition, called optic nerve hypoplasia, affects less than one in 10,000 people in the UK.

In China, the youngster will be injected with stem cells from the umbilical cords of newborn babies to help stimulate the regrowth of her stunted nerves.

Thanks to fundraisers in her hometown of Milton Keynes, Bucks, Brooke’s family now have enough money to pay for the first stage of little Brooke’s treatment.

The Brooke Chilton Fund has reached its halfway target of £25,000, meaning the youngster’s mum Leah can now begin planning their trip overseas.

Hypnotherapy for Kate.

The Duchess of Cambridge has  turned to hypnotherapy to help her boost her appetite after struggling to keep food down because of her hyperemesis gravidarum.

Kate still looks at most food and feels nauseous. She likened it to: “that feeling you get after you’ve had food poisoning and your stomach’s shrunk.”

Sources say Kate finds it difficult to eat a full meal and gets full very quickly. The hypnotherapy takes away any negative thoughts connected with food and replaces them with a desire to eat healthy, nutritious food, working at avocados, berries, broccoli, oatmeal and smoothies. She is also nibbling on figs and lavender shortbread which aid digestion and combat nausea.
