Kate sparks pregnancy rumours by drinking water

Is she or isn’t she? The Duchess Of Cambridge sent the gossipmongers into a spin when she drank water and shunned all alcohol at two official engagements in Singapore this week.
Kate even drank water to toast the President of Singapore’s wife Mary Tan at dinner and it is highly unusual to make a royal toast with anything but wine or champagne. But mums-to-be – or women trying to conceive – are of course advised against drinking any alcohol.
One story doing the rounds is that Kate is indeed already pregnant, but that the royal couple are planning to hold off announcing a pregnancy for as long as possible.
Friends of the Young Royals say that there is no secret that William and Kate would dearly like to get pregnant, and are actively trying for a baby. Prince William told a crowd in Singapore that he would like to have two children.
Of course Kate is now not under pressure to produce a male heir. A recent change in the laws of succession means that should the couple’s first-born child be a girl, she will inherit the throne and not lose out to a younger male child.
