The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting a baby, St James’s Palace announced yesterday.

Months of speculation about a Royal pregnancy were ended yesterday afternoon when William and Kate told the world they will be parents for the first time.

But the announcement also revealed the Duchess is being treated for very acute morning sickness – hyperemesis gravidarum – at a private London hospital.

The Duke was by her side after she was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital by car earlier yesterday. She is expected to remain for a few days.

Mum-to-be SHAKIRA has revealed she’s expecting a baby boy.

The singer, who announced she was pregnant last month, has told the press that the baby she is expecting with her 25-year-old Spanish footballer beau, Gerard Pique is going to be a boy.

Thirty-five year old Shakira says she is happy and very much in love with her baby’s daddy: “This guy is the best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. And now we’re having a baby,” she said.

She added that her baby will become a globe-trotter, like his mum.

“When the baby is born, I’ll take him with me on charity trips. He shall learn that he is able to change the world.”

Asked if he and Beyonce were having another baby, Jay-Z replied: “Tonight? No.”

To add fuel to the fire other pals have said that Victoria is keen to have another baby before she reaches 40 in April 2014.

David has also made no secret of his desire to have another child.

Coleen Rooney has announced on Twitter that she and footballer hubby, WAYNE, are thrilled to be expecting their second child.

The TV presenter told her 840,000 followers that the baby is due in May.

He or she will be a sibling for their son Kai, who was born in November 2009.

Coleen tweeted: “A few people guessed, so news is out ha!! Me wayne and Kai are thrilled that we are expecting a new addition to our family around May time x.”

She followed the message with a second one, saying: “Its still only early but bursting with excitement! Also wanted the news to come from us, before anyone else! ??.”

Manchester United and England striker Rooney has previously spoken about how fatherhood gave him a bigger kick than his football career, describing becoming a dad as the “proudest moment of my life”.

He and Coleen were childhood sweethearts and got married in a lavish ceremony in June 2008 when they were both aged 22.
