Going green is a serious thing for Jessica Alba. Since becoming a mother of two, it has become a way of life for the actress.

And in an effort to give other parents easy access to a similar eco-friendly lifestyle, Alba recently launched The Honest Company, a monthly subscription service of baby products.

“I love all of the products — the shampoo/body wash is truly tearless without any numbing agent, the detangler actually detangles and smells delicious, and the diapers are the best disposables on the market!” she tells GILT’s Little Inspiration blog.

But just as she hopes to help families lead healthier lives — Alba has plans to expand the line to include feeding products, clothing, and bedding and décor — she is also ensuring her daughters Honor Marie, 3½, and Haven Garner, 8 months, understand the importance of all-natural, too.

“I seek out organic foods, and as a family we try to have a balanced diet that focuses on vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains,” she explains.

“I make sure to read the ingredients carefully and try to give Haven homemade, puréed food as much as possible.”

However, between her acting career, her new company, and her family of four, Alba admits sometimes finding that fine balance is anything but easy. But, at the end of the day, it’s all about her daughters.

“I just live my life the best I can and I compromise on one thing or another. I often wish there were at least two of me and 36 hours in the day!” she says.

“My children’s happiness is my priority, so as long as they’re good everything else just sort of works out. I have lots of lists, schedules, and labels to keep some sanity and organization.”

So what’s her secret to looking fabulous despite her hectic schedule? “I have a really quick, but effective make-up routine: great concealer, cream blush, and mascara,” she reveals. “It takes 10 minutes and it looks like I’ve had a good night sleep.”

Kelly Brook has described her miscarriage as “the hardest lesson” after losing the baby she was expecting with rugby player Thom Evans last May.

The 32-year-old model said she had “changed her life dramatically” since losing the baby girl when she was five months pregnant.

She told Top Sante magazine: “My miscarriage was a hard lesson. Before I fell pregnant, I’d been living the life of a 22-year-old – going to clubs, working hard and flying to a different country every two weeks. When I first fell pregnant, I still thought I could run around and do whatever I wanted, but my body let me know that wasn’t the case. When I miscarried, I was devastated.

“It was the hardest lesson but, ultimately, a good one. I’d been running on adrenalin believing I was invincible – like so many of us do. Since the miscarriage, I’ve changed my life dramatically.

“I’ve reduced my workload and I’m eating more healthily and exercising more. I don’t want to leave it much longer before having children and if I was to fall pregnant now, I’d feel ready.”

The singer/actress recently said baby David inspired her dramatic weight loss. “Motherhood brought tremendous responsibilities — but none greater than the obligation I felt to get healthy and be there for my son,” Jennifer said. “David deserved to have a mum who could run after him without getting winded or getting tired, to have a role model who could teach him to make healthy food choices. I needed him to grow up with a mum who always would be there for him by caring enough about herself to take control of her health and her eating.”

Football star David Beckham and wife Victoria Beckham were spotted taking their three sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 9, and 7-year-old Cruz to the Los Angeles Kings vs. Vancouver Canucks NHL playoff game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. on Sunday (April 15).
